Tradewind Manchester is currently looking for a caring and nurturing teaching assistant, to join an outstanding and successful school in Salford, to start in March 2021. This is a full time, long-term role, with the potential of a permanent contract, paying up to £75 a day.

About the school
We are recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant on behalf of a Special School in Salford, which caters for students from 4 -11 years old. This is an OFSTED, 'Outstanding' school for children with Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Autism. The curriculum and learning environment of each class are carefully created to provide appropriate and exciting learning opportunities for the children. The staff at the school are caring, experienced and committed to meeting the individual needs of every child and to creating a happy, safe and secure environment.
The school is based in Salford, with excellent public transport links and ample parking available.
I was very impressed with the values of the school when I visited. The spiritual, moral, social and cultural education runs through the whole school curriculum and supports the development of each child as a unique individual.
About the role
This Special School is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant who can provide 1-1 support for a new child to the school. The child has Autism and will involve ensuring that they have access to the curriculum. You will be required to support the child throughout class, helping with the delivery of phonics, literacy and numeracy. Successful candidates will have strong behaviour management and a good curriculum knowledge.
You must have prior experience of supporting children with special needs and be a committed practitioner who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout the role.
The curriculum is personalised and planned for pupils' individual needs.
The school promote each pupil's inclusion in activities, settings and locations that are appropriate to them and meet their individual needs.
