Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a SEN teaching assistant with experience of BESD and Secondary to work at this school in Swindon on an ad-hoc basis for supply cover most of next term asap. This supportive SEN school in Swindon requires the right candidate to support their learners in their emotional and academic development from April 2019. This is a part-time, long-term role of one academic year for the right candidate. The shifts will be as a when needed but the school will consider offering more hours for the right candidate.

School is within easy reach of public transport in Swindon and would be easily reachable through buses and trains from Swindon train station.
-A strong understanding of students with BESD and attachment disorders
-Ability to support the student both academically and emotionally in a calm manner, adhere to safeguarding and behavioural policies at all times, and show adherence to professional boundaries.
- A collaborative and driven individual who will be able to take directions from the SENCO and other Education professionals within the school.
-Ability to manage challenging behaviour and de-escalate appropriately.

Role involves supporting the learners within the class room and sometimes in a group setting inside and outside the classroom. It also involves guiding the student emotionally and behaviorally at times of stress and helping them to overcome their barriers to social interaction and emotional recognition.
