Tradewind is currently looking for a supportive SEN Teaching Assistant with previous experience to work in a Pupil Referral Unit supporting pupils with SEMH and Moderate Learning Difficulties. The role will require you to work with secondary aged students many of which will be working towards GCSE's so your encouragement and guidance will help pupils achieve their grades.

As a SEN teaching assistant, you will be responsible for working with a pupil on a 1:1 basis aiding them with the educational opportunities available to them. Patience, adaptability, experience supporting emotional regulation and flexible thinking will be key to success in this role.
For this role we are looking for:
*An experienced teaching assistant who has worked with children with SEN and with the national curriculum or;
*A recent graduate looking to start their career in education
*Experience using behaviour techniques within a classroom
*A proactive team player, who is flexible and friendly
*Someone who is confident providing 1:1 support and facilitating small groups
*Someone to help children understand instructions through repetition and rephrasing
*Supervising students on school trips
