About the School - SENCO - Enfield, North London

This is a successful all-boys secondary school located in the outer London borough of Enfield with an inclusive ethos around SEN. Due to retirement the school is seeking to appoint a new SENCO who will come and direct SEN teaching and policy throughout the school. The school is open to candidates from both Primary and Secondary backgrounds as much of the role will be supporting students to make successful transition from Primary School the rough to Secondary education. This school has a varied intake of pupils from a range of backgrounds with higher than average numbers of SEN pupils. The school has an inclusive ethos but also has specialist SEN learning facilities for as and when needed. The school also employees a range of SEN professionals to support the delivery of education, ensuring these pupils have every opportunity of making sustained progress.

About the Role - Primary SENCO - Enfield, North London

*This is an important role an at the school which will have a major impact on the schools SEN provision. An experienced, qualified teacher with a real passion and understanding of SEN is essential.
*Ideally having experience in a variety of SEN settings (although not essential if strong mainstream SEN experience) this role will see you work with several SEN specialists. The ability to lead by example, model good SEN teaching and can provide practical ideas for class teachers to support SEN students is essential.
*The school is committed to providing ongoing professional development and although the ideal candidate would already hold the National SENCo qualification the school will support someone who needs to obtain this.
