Tradewind are recruiting on behalf of a fantastic school in Rochdale who are looking to recruit an experienced SENCO for September. Initially, this appointment will be for one term through till Christmas, however the position will be advertised for January so there will be an opportunity to extend. Ideally, the school would like to have the successful candidate in school for the last week of this academic year to do an extensive handover with the current SENCO.

This two-form entry primary school with amazing facilities and resources is graded 'Good' by Ofsted. The staff are a close-knit team, working together to achieve personal and professional fulfilment. They would like to add a team player to the mix, someone who has extensive knowledge of working with SEN children and the demands the role has.

This is a challenging and demanded role, especially given it is only for one term initially. There will be 1 day of teaching responsibly and 4 days dedicated to your role of SENCO. You will need to be a clear communicator with a passion for SEN and ensuring that all children have the opportunity to be the best they can be.The school is a great place to work, it has a harmonious staff room and the Head has created an environment that staff and children can thrive in but also enjoy. Ideally, the successful applicant will have the National Award for Special Needs Co-Ordination or will be working towards it. If not, you will have extensive experience of working as a SENCO.
The successful applicant will work closely alongside the current teachers and teaching assistants.

Details of the role are as follows:
* September 2020 start and commitment for the full academic year
* Pay £140 - £200 per day - paid to scale
* Extensive SEN experience
* Minimum 5 years teaching experience with at least 1 year SEN experience
* Clear communication skills and experience of working alongside a multitude or external organisations
* Understanding and confidence to work with a wide range of abilities
* Good organisational skills

The School:
The school is 2-form entry and has recently been rated Good by Ofsted. It is in Rochdale with an established and well respected Headteacher. The SLT are supportive, caring and knowledgeable with school making rapid progress in the past 5 years. The headteacher delegates responsibilities effectively and staff work well as a team.
The school has recently been awarded a grant to make improvements with the school building. As we speak, the school is undertaking extensive renovations which will be ready for September. The school will feel like new and they plan on creating the perfect environment for children to enjoy and thrive in their learning experience. There are extensive external areas providing opportunities for sport, play and extended curriculum activities.

About You:
We are looking for an experienced Teacher with a great understanding of the SEN practice. You will need to have a passion for education and for your own professional development. Above all, you will need to be resilient, and hardworking. The successful applicant will be:
