This is a full-time role and the salary will be £75-80 per day, depending on experience , with the role likely to continue until July 2021.


This is a lovely school, with an established Headteacher and a great team. The school has a busy and creative atmosphere and is very well resourced.

The role will involve working with a child in Year 1 who will be joining the school in September. He is still awaiting a full diagnosis of his special needs, but he has autism, along with some emotional and behavioral difficulties. His parents take an active role in his education and you will be in regular contact with them, so strong communication skills are important.
The day will be a balance of SEN work and mainstream TA work and is likely to involve working with him in the mornings in and out of the classroom and then possibly as a general teaching assistant in the afternoon.

Experience of working with children with SEND, especially autism, in a primary setting is essential. The school is seeking someone positive, patient and who is consistent with rewards and sanctions.

*Hold a teaching assistant qualification, ideally level 3
*Have experience working with SEND children in a primary school in the UK
*Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
*Provide a CV with at least 10 years of employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained
*Have the legal right to work in the UK
