Are you a compassionate Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDco/SENCo) looking for an exciting new role?

My client, a medium sized Primary School is seeking a reliable and dedicated SENDCo
that can help enrich the lives of children and young people with special educational needs. The post is offered on a part time basis to start in September 2020

As SENCO your role will involve taking responsibility for SEN learning throughout the school. Working successfully alongside external agencies will be a crucial element to your role to ensure that children make sufficient progress and achieve their full potential. The SEN team's resources include many tools designed specifically to help those with SEN, as a leader you must be able to manage the correct use of each of these exciting tools. You will oversee the day to day operation of the schools special education policy and maintain appropriate records.

The successful senco will be available to start from September 2020.

* Have high expectations of themselves and of others and is passionate about supporting and encouraging all pupils to achieve to the best of their abilities
* Be ambitious to support and extend the learning opportunities of pupils.
* Have a commitment to working in partnership with the Therapy team: Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists, other staff, parents and the community.
* Have drive, enthusiasm and a clear vision for achieving educational excellence for children with autism.
* Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Have a real desire to make a positive difference to the pupils you work with.

To join us in this SENDCo role you will:
Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualifications.
Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearance (if applicable and professional reference checks.
Cover the last 10 years of employment history, where possible, and any employment breaks must be explained.
Have the legal right to work in the UK.
