Are you an experienced Special Education Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDco/SENCo) looking for a new role?

Tradewind Recruitment have been asked by a 'Good' in all areas primary school in West Essex to assist them in the recruitment of a quantified SENCo to join their team. The role is to start in January on a full time basis, with the school being able to offer permanent, temporary to permanent or long term supply for the post. Along with the MPR, salary will also include an SEN TLR and Fringe allowance.

This position would suit a hard working proven practitioner looking to take on increased responsibility, or a current accomplished SENCo who is seeking a new challenge in a thriving school. The successful applicant will work closely with the Headteacher, the SLT and other internal and external colleagues, including teachers and SEN support staff.

Provision for SEN pupils is well targeted, managed and run. Students make good progress from their starting points and the additional help provided is effective. There is also a specialist SEN unit on site allowing for positive integration and tailored support.

As SENCo your role will involve you taking responsibility for SEN learning throughout the school and you will be keeping parents informed about their child's progress. Working successfully alongside external agencies will be a crucial element to your role to ensure that children make sufficient progress and achieve their full potential. The SEN team's resources include many tools designed specifically to help those with SEN, as a leader you must be able to manage the correct use of each of these exciting tools.

The successful SENCo will:
Hold the National SENCo qualification.
Have an excellent understanding of children and learning.
Demonstrate secure knowledge of SEN practice and policy / a willingness and ability to learn quickly.
Boast excellent interpersonal skills.
Be committed to the school and personal development.
