This specialist SEN school is for Primary students aged 2-11 years old who have severe or Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and/or Autism. All classes are organised based on age as well as need and learning style.

This position is for a mid-level Teaching Assistant position. You will be working alongside an SEN Class teacher supporting a class of 10 students. Students are nursery to reception age and require support with severe learning difficulties. Some students also have physical disabilities and require wheelchairs. As a more senior Teaching Assistant, you will support with planning and be responsible for independently running interventions for a group of students. The class uses two different rooms and you will be responsible for children in the second room while the class teacher supports students in the first room. Experience working with nursery aged students, special needs and working independently are highly desired for this role.

The school are looking to trial candidates ASAP as the role is to start in January. Candidates consistently provide positive feedback about this school. The pupils, the leadership and the facilities are all amazing to work with. The school has high expectations of staff and aim to uphold their OFSTED Outstanding rating in all aspects. A large part of this involves supporting staff to develop, offering numerous training and development opportunities. Several staff who joined the school through Tradewind have already been promoted after their first term of work and many are offered opportunities to transition to a permanent contract.

Based in Greenford in the borough of Ealing, the school is easily accessed by bus or the Piccadilly line. The school has been purpose built and has recently had their Autism wing completely refurbished. They run many community programmes during the week and over the weekend, providing a community hub for children and families with SEN.

The hours of work are 8.45am - 3.45pm, Monday to Friday. The role would be long term until the end of the academic year initially, with a chance to review and continue after this for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate:
*Has a level 2 qualification in teaching and learning and experience as a Nursery Nurse
*Is experienced with Autism, Profound or Multiple Learning Difficulties or Severe Learning Difficulties
*Is experienced with Early Years
*Has been employed in a similar role, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach
*Is Confident providing 1:1 support and facilitating small groups
*Is a proactive team player
