Tradewind Recruitment have a great opportunity for a fully qualified SEND Teacher in Sutton Coldfield to start ASAP on a temp to perm contract. This role will involve working closely with SEND children - including children with ASD, GDD, MLD, and sensory impairments - who require 1:1 support.

As an SEND Teacher, you will be responsible for helping children to achieve their personal goals for communication and movement in addition to hitting academic milestones. Successful applicants will show great imagination and creativity, developing new ways for children to access and engage with the curriculum, regardless of their learning difficulties. Highly experienced SEND Teachers are encouraged to apply but, the school are open to see NQTS providing they have 6 months experience in a special school setting.

The school is rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted, they have excellent resources on site, the staff are friendly and welcoming and really do live with a team work ethic. There is a secure on-site car park with excellent public transport links into the City Centre.

The class size is made up of 11 pupils with 3 members of support who are all experienced and hold Team Teach, you would be need to able to lead and direct them to ensure smooth running of your class. You will have more than adequate PPA time on your timetable to eliminate taking work home. The work for this academic year is set, however you will be able to change this to suit your teaching style.

Experience/ Requirements:
- QTS or Equivalent
- Minimum 6 months experience teaching within a special school
- Driving license (Preferred)
- TEAM TEACH Certificate (Preferred)
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or prepared to apply for a new one
- An outstanding educational practitioner with high expectations
