Due to a focused approach to improving sporting participation and performance within schools across the local authority, we are seeking to appoint a number of highly motivated and experienced sports coaches.

Through the new, stimulating curriculum and vibrant co-curricular activities, we aim to provide our pupils with an environment where they are valued, encouraged and inspired. Therefore, we seek candidates who are keen to kick start their career by contributing to this thriving and dynamic sports programme.

Ideal candidates will be confident delivering sessions, which develop student skill, fitness and tactical understanding. They will hold and embody the highest expectations of their pupils and will have the drive and ambition to create an outstanding environment for learning, in their subject area and beyond.

Possessing a love of the subject and an ability to convey this to students is essential, as well as a belief that every child can and will succeed. A track record of excellent coaching, collaboration and creativity is desirable as coaches will become accountable for children's learning, attainment, behaviour and progression.

The role would ideally suit an NQT or those with a passion for sport, who are looking to gain relevant experience before embarking on a formal teaching qualification.


Applicants will possess:

*A Level 2 coaching certificate or above (desirable).

*Previous experience coaching/teaching children.

*A valid DBS check on the update service or be willing to obtain this.

*Two suitable references covering the last 2 years.

*Commitment to a possible 12 month assignment.
