One of our very successful 11-19-year-old mixed Secondary School are looking for experienced support workers to join their welcoming and friendly team. The school has a specialist resource provision unit to support their SEN learners.

The ideal candidate will:
- Have previously supported and be willing to support those with special educational needs
- Ideally be available for full time work, but we also have part time roles available
- Have experience supporting either SEN children and young people, particularly with Autism.
- Preferably will have a DBS on the update service (we can support you to do this if you do not)

Candidates must be able to provide two references, covering a minimum of six months within the last two years. Excellent oral and written English essential. The role will include supporting children and young people one a 121 as well as small groups.

The school is based close to Manchester City Centre, with excellent public transport links and ample parking is available.

The school has fantastic facilities to suit the needs of their pupils. They have a large well stocked sensory garden, a hydrotherapy pool, a multi-use games area, outside gym equipment area, a full-sized football pitch and a sensory light room. In addition, there is an on-site nurse and speech and language team.

To join us and be successful in this Support Worker role, you will need to :
-Have previous experience working with special educational needs pupils
-Level 2 or equivalent Health and Social care, childcare or Teaching Assistant qualification as a minimum
-Relevant moving and handling training, and Team Teach is desirable.
