Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a Swim Assistant to support pupils aged 2-16 years with special educational needs including complex and physical difficulties during swim lessons within the school setting.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with Special Educational Needs and confident getting in the pool to assist. You will need to remain calm and patient ensuring the safety and well being of pupils at all times. A swimming qualification is not essential but the ability to swim and react to unexpected situations is vital. Safeguarding children in education is mandatory which we can provide along with an 'Enhanced DBS'

The role is on a temporary basis up to 4 days per week but on occasions less days due to varying pupil numbers. There may also be an opportunity for you to progress into a class based role also providing support should the placement go well.
