Tradewind are looking to recruit for an enthusiastic Art & Design teacher who is passionate about the subject, has the ability to deliver inspiring lessons and be part of creating an exceptional place of learning. This is an exciting opportunity to join an energetic, forward-thinking and high achieving school.

You must have the ability to teach Art & Design up to GCSE and A level. You will have commitment to ensuring the achievement of all students and inclusive education. You will have high expectations of all students, respecting their social, cultural, linguistic, religious and ethnic backgrounds and to be committed to raising their educational achievement. You will record students' progress and achievements systematically in order to provide evidence of the range of their work, progress and attainment over time. You will have evidence of excellent classroom practice. The ability to establish and maintain high standards of classroom behaviour. You will develop a broad and imaginative range of learning and teaching skills and have excellent knowledge of current developments in learning and teaching

You must have Qualified teacher status and a good honours degree. NQTs or experienced teachers may apply for this role.

The roles itself will involve teaching all levels of Art & Design including A level and ensuring high student attainment and progress. Reporting to the Head of faculty. You must have the ability to plan schemes of work and lessons which ensure appropriate strategies for effective teaching and learning, AFL, differentiation and assessment in Art & Design. Detailed knowledge of the National Curriculum and its assessment in Art & Design. You will keep up to date with national developments in the curriculum area, teaching practice and methodology. You will ensure curriculum coverage, continuity and progression for all learners

They school is located a few minutes walking distance from the local tube and served by a number of local bus routes it is situated in the heart of the historic East End of London and adjacent to the developments in Docklands.
