Tradewind have an exciting opportunity for a passionate, dedicated, motivated and innovative teacher of DT to interview asap for a secondary position after May Half-term (possibly sooner).
We are looking for an inspirational DT teacher with the ability to create a nurturing learning environment, together with a commitment to bringing out the best in every student .

The department:
Joining the DT Faculty will provide an exciting and challenging opportunity to build upon the existing high standards of technology teaching. The department consist of 3 dynamic and dedicated teachers and 3 experienced technicians. The department is committed to delivering a full rich curriculum to all students using active learning, AFL and ICT. We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher of one or more of any of the technology specialisms - Textiles, Resistant Materials and Catering to join this talented team.
The facilities at the college include well equipped and maintained dedicated specialist classrooms with an interactive whiteboard in all classrooms. The faculty also has excellent teaching resources.
In this DT teacher role, you will be expected…
- To plan and teach high quality lessons
- To set clear targets for students' learning, building on prior attainment and considering each student as an individual
- To assess student work and progress giving regular feedback in line with school policy
- To follow and contribute to schemes of work
- To report on student progress
- To maintain a stimulating, engaging and safe learning environment
- To attend parent / information evenings as required
- To respond to parental concerns / requests for information in line with school policy
- To contribute to the wider life of the school, including whole-school routines and duties
To take responsibility for your own professional development and engage with performance management activity
