Tradewind Recruitment are looking to appoint a qualified, driven and successful Teacher of History and Politics for Maternity Cover starting in September 2020 (minimum 1 year).

This client is a very popular school, oversubscribed and they will be looking for evidence of excellent classroom practice and high expectations of pupil attainment. This is a Roman Catholic school Christian principles are at the very heart of all that they do This is a larger than average comprehensive school based in Newham, East London. The proportion of students are from a diverse range of minority ethnic groups. They continue to be an outstanding school providing a community where each individual can grow spiritually, academically and socially. Students behaviour and attitude to learning is good and they have a good Sixth Form.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified teacher who has a passion for inspiring students, teaching creatively and a love for the subject. You will have evidence of excellent classroom practice and high expectations of pupil attainment and behaviour. The History and Politics departments pride themselves on their students' successes, friendly learning environment and innovative teaching.

In both History and Politics students follow the GCSE and A Level Edexcel courses. The Departments are thriving with many going on to study History or Politics at Russell Group Universities. Students are keen to develop their analytical skills and highly enjoy enriching their experience with trips to key institutions such as Parliament and the Imperial War Museum.
