I am working alongside this community-leading Academy based in Luton, looking for a committed Science teacher looking to join their popular, dynamic and committed science department. The school are open on specialisms and can offer some flexibility in the timetable and key stages.

The academy has continually improved across all areas over the last 2-3 years and is now not only graded as Good by Ofsted but also received their best ever academic results for KS4 last year. They are well linked in the community often offering support and assistance to local residences and charities.

I am looking for
-Teachers with a stable work history and experience of teaching Biology, Chemistry, Physics or General Science and looking for an opportunity to take a step up or a Head of Department looking to step down into a role focussed more on teaching.
- A confident and capable approach able to lead by example and assist the HOD where required.
- Previous experience as a Head of Year / Year Leader and other positions of responsibility are an advantage but not essential.
- Ideally you will have QTS, a teaching degree or an equivalent qualification (with Naric certification if from overseas)

The school's culture is very accepting and teachers work hard to improve the learning opportunities for all of their pupils. With a diverse student base many teachers enjoy the freedom and dynamic approach they're given with the teaching here and many stay on for permanent appointments often within the first year.
