The job role
Long term, 5 days per week
Term time only
£70 - £80 per day
8.30am - 4pm
This role will require you to provide 1:1 support for a non-verbal pupil who has been diagnosed with Autism. The Headteacher is looking for a Teaching Assistant who has experience using Pecs and Makaton to communicate with children. This role requires a positive, engaging personality who is keen to develop in a friendly and dedicated early years team.
The school is looking for an EYFS Teaching Assistant who:
*Has previous experience supporting children in the Early Years Foundation Stage or children with special educational needs
*Has enthusiasm and passion when supporting pupils in Early Years
*A qualification in Early years is preferred
*Can commit to the role until July 2019 or July 2020
The successful applicant will be working in a professional, successful and friendly primary school. The Early Years staff work very well together as a team and ensure all pupils are working in an vibrant and academically stimulating environment. The Early Years Foundation Stage have their own playground and classrooms set back from Key Stage One and Key Stage Two.
The school provide termly CPD for all teachers and teaching assistants.
