The school thought the boy was going to be taken on by a local special school but unfortunately the application was rejected which took the school by surprise hence the desperation to have someone work with the student. The student is verbal but tends to run away, and become physically violent when he has episodes of sensory overload.

The school itself has a great reputation and has recently been graded by Outstanding by Ofsted. Furthermore, they have a great internal support system for staff that are permanent and from agency.

Information on the role:
*8:30AM to 4:00PM Monday to Friday
*You must be able to assess situations and react accordingly
*Team Teach or an equivalent certification
*Rate is between £70 - £80 per day based on experience
*ASAP start

The perfect candidate will have the following skills, qualifications & attributes.
*ASD experience is crucial
*Must have a calm nature
*Very good at communication
*Strong and clear speaker
*Strong behaviour management
*Team Teach isn't required but is a plus
*Knowledge of PECS isn't required but is a plus
*Knowledge of Makaton isn't required but is a plus

Westbourne park station is a short walking distance from the school - there are also various busses that drop you near the grounds.
