A Primary school in Leigh is working with Tradewind to recruit for a Level 2/3 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a range of pupils with complex and additional needs. We are seeking to recruit an experienced Level 2/3 SEN Teaching Assistant to undertake a full-time role with an immediate start. This position is long term and has the potential to continue to extend.

This role is within a one-form entry Primary school uses the schools vision and core values at the core of everything they do. They frame the teaching and learning within school. The school provided a safe environment which prepares the pupils within school to be confident and happy citizens. The school seeking a hardworking and motivated Teaching Assistant to join their team of committed and experienced professionals. The ideal candidate for this role has a Level 2/3 Qualification who has had a minimum of 12 months supporting pupils with complex and additional needs.

The successful candidate will be required to support the class teacher with planning for activities and lesson's and liaise with the SENDCO when appropriate. In addition, you will also be required to provide 1:1 and small group support for pupil with complex and additional needs. PECS, MAKATON or any additional SEN specific training/certificates are highly sought after for this role. You must also have an enthusiastic and positive approach to teaching and learning, as well as the ability to quickly build up strong relationships and rapport with individual children is important.
