Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Teaching Assistant to start ASAP! This is a full-time role, with the potential of a permanent contract for the right candidate.

The candidate
To join us and be successful in this Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:
* Hold relevant qualifications up to TA Level 2
* Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
* Have a CV with 10 years employment history included and any employment breaks must be explained
* Have the legal right to work in the UK

The role

The role itself will involve supporting students in KS3 and KS4, in the classroom, and in small groups or 1 to 1. The role will include working with various students across a range of subject areas, as well the classroom teachers, so you must be able to take initiative as well as follow direction.

The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant that can deliver support to students with range of backgrounds, needs and abilities. Therefore, you must have the ability to build relationships with staff and students alike. You must be a committed practitioner, who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout the role. You will need to be a collaborative and driven individual who will support and assist on the delivery of the subjects. A strong level of behaviour management is required for this role, so you must have behaviour management strategies that can be utilised effectively.

The school

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established secondary school, which caters for students from 11 -16 years old. They pride themselves on an induction programme leading to excellent professional development opportunities and are fully committed to the progress of their staff, as well as their students.

The school is based in South Manchester, with excellent public transport links and ample parking available.
