Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a teaching assistant or support worker with SEN experience, looking for your next role to support young people who need additional behavioural and academic support? We are working with a large school, which provides holistic education within a large campus in South Glos.

This support role will take place within the classroom as well as during school trips and outdoor activities. The role is full-time and will continue beyond September and likely to become permanent for successful completion of initial period.

-A strong understanding of students' learning needs in Secondary ages
-Training in PBM or team-teach is essential
-Previous SEN experience is necessary particularly teaching students with severe challenging behaviour. (The school will consider candidates with strong care background)
-A collaborative and driven individual who will be able to work closely with the management of the project, SENCOs and other Education professionals in and out of the school.
-Previous training or understanding Steiner principles are beneficial
-Ability to manage challenging behaviour and de-escalate appropriately.

Location: Yate and Thornbury

* Have Special needs experience. Previous experience of supporting young people with emotional and behavioural issues is necessary.
* This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks

* You must have the legal right to work in the UK
