THE ROLE:
*Working in small group sessions with students in Year 3, some of which are diagnosed with varying levels of SEN.
*Liaising with the class teacher to assist with the learning and development of the students in the class and helping to plan lessons that suit the abilities of the children.
*Your overall goal will be to propel the students forward in regards to their attainment goals and targets, and to make sure that they are happy at school.

THE SCHOOL:
This two form Tower Hamlets school is situated in Forest Gate and has excellent transport links. There is a bus stop right outside the school gates, and Forest Gate/Wanstead Park stations are a short walk away ands accessed on the Tfl and Overground lines.

The school is a community school and many students come from the local area. In the past there has been a large turnover of children at the school, but staff are committed to the development of all students and work hard to make an impact on their learning and development. Children at the school are keen to learn, and the displays around the school show how much passion they have. The staff team are caring and work hard to promote a love of learning that can continue at home.

Within the school there are opportunities for personal development within the school's CPD programme, and there are also multiple opportunities for support staff to get involved with clubs before and after school.

All applicants for this long term and full time Year 3 Teaching Assistant role must have experience within KS2 and a strong understanding of the curriculum. The successful candidate must also be open to supporting students of all abilities and children diagnosed with SEN.

This Year 3 Teaching Assistant position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas police Clearances and professional reference checks. Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained.
