Tradewind are currently working with an SEN School located in the borough of Sutton. They are recruiting a long-term SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) who specialises in both PMLD and SLD. Full timetable to start immediately!
Well run Special School with a supportive Senior Leadership Team, Middle Managers and staff. They have great facilities that caters for their pupils individual learning requirements. Pupils who attend the school are primary and secondary ages with a variety of SEN requirements, in particular PMLD and SLD.
They are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant who have experience working as either an already SEN TA or Care Worker or Support Worker in an SEN school etc. Your experience will have been with either children or young people who have either SLD and/or PMLD. To be considered for this post you must have experience with pupils who would have required personal care. Some of the pupils at this school would need help with changing and to use the bathroom facilities. Additionally, the client has a hydro pool so there would also be instances where you might be required to support your student(s) in the pool. If so you would need to change into swimming wear should it be on your timetable.

To be shortlisted
*You will have a minimum of 12 months experience as either an SEN TA or Care Worker or Support Worker
*Your experience will be in either an educational institution/ special school or care industry
*Your SEN experience must be with either SLD or PMLD
*You must be comfortable working with students who require Personal Care
*Confident supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis
*Patient, Kind, Nurturing & Calm individual
*In date DBS with the update service
*Available full time and immediately
