Are you a qualified and flexible teacher looking for an exciting new opportunity to start ASAP?

Tradewind have been asked by a medium sized secondary school on the Suffolk and Essex border to assist them with the appointment of a diverse teacher to cover DT (ideally either Food Technology or RM) and Drama on a part time basis (4 days a week). This is a 360 teaching role which will require; planning and preparation, delivering lessons, marking and assessing work, attending staff meetings and parents' evenings. The school is accessible by public transport, but best by car with on-site parking for staff.
Most of the timetable with be Technology with the school able to accommodate a Food Technology or Resistant Materials specialists. You will be expected to teach DT up to KS4. There is a much smaller Drama element and will be to KS3 only. The school can consider applications from specialists in either subject, however, the successful teacher will be expected to cover both Technology and Drama.
This Ofsted rated 'Good' secondary academy was praised for its significant improvements in recent years. The Trust and SLT continuously make considerable contributions and have made effective changes to improve the school. Adults and students feel valued, behaviour and attendance are very good with all parties are motivated to succeed. This position would suit a flexible, dedicated, and confident Technology and/or Drama teacher with strong classroom management skills. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic school and work alongside a hard-working and supportive team of staff.
The successful Technology and Drama Teacher will be:
Able to confidently teach pupils up to GCSE (in either Food Technology or Resistant Materials) and ideally have a proven track record of successful exam results.
A committed practitioner, who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout their role.
A collaborative and driven individual who will support and lead on the delivery of their lessons through creative approaches to the curriculum.

Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualifications.
Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearance (if applicable and professional reference checks.
Provide a CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, where possible, and any employment breaks must be explained.
Have the legal right to work in the UK.
