Textiles Teacher urgently required for a thriving Design Technology department
2 or 3 days per week depending on candidate availability

A well respected and popular Secondary academy located close to Sudbury are in need of a Textiles Teacher to join their Design Technology department ASAP.

This is a part-time position starting ASAP and the post will run for the rest of the school year.

In this position you will be required to plan and prepare your lessons, as well as mark and assess work, attend staff meetings and parents' evenings. This is a successful secondary and is well regarded by Ofsted.

Due to its location the school is easily accessible by car or public transport and has on-site parking for staff and visitors.

In order to be considered for this fantastic opportunity Tradewind requires the following:
*You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
*You must hold QTS or a UK recognised equivalent teaching qualification.
*This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
*Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained.

This is a large secondary academy catering to students across the age range from 11 to 18. During its most recent Ofsted inspection the school was rated as "Good" in all areas. Achievement levels within the school are very good and GCSE results are well above national average. The head teacher believes in the importance of creating a positive, encouraging and happy school environment to ensure students feel safe and are able to thrive during their school career. Staff have high expectations of themselves and students. Behaviour across the school is good and staff feel this is down to the positive ethos of the school in conjunction with the quality of care and education the students receive.
