Are you an experienced, organised Welfare Officer who is passionate about providing excellent medical and pastoral care to your students? Or are you an individual passionate about education with current First Aid training who is interested in pursuing a career supporting the medical and emotional needs of young people within a School setting? If this sounds like you, this Welfare Officer position in Hillingdon may be the opportunity you have been looking for!

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a large, inclusive mainstream Secondary School in Hillingdon who are seeking a qualified, approachable individual to join their administration team as a Welfare Officer. This Welfare Officer position will be offered on a full time, long term basis and will commence ASAP / as soon as students return the school, and offers £12 - £14 per hour based on experience.

To join us and be successful in this Welfare Officer position, you will need to:

  • Hold a valid First Aid Certificate
  • Be passionate about supporting the medical, emotional and pastoral needs of young people
  • Be able to complete an array of administrative duties
  • SIMS experience would be beneficial
  • Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
  • Provide a CV with a minimum of 10 years employment/employment history included and any employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK

This Welfare Officer position will see you tending to the medical needs of students and staff members, providing first aid and administering simple medications. You will also liaise with parents / carers and other outside agencies regarding the welfare of the school's students. You will also have an array of administrative duties ensuring all records are logged and kept up to date within the Welfare Office. You may also be required to assist with other ad hoc administrative tasks within the main office, thus SIMS experience will be highly beneficial to this role.

The school is based in Hilling, with excellent public transport links and ample parking available.
