About the role

This OFSTED "Outstanding" primary school situated in Trafford, Hale (WA15) is looking for a Year 2 class teacher who can deliver lessons designed to cater to a class of 30. The desired candidate must be able to deliver engaging cross curricula lesson and must be able to work closely with the phase leader and Head Teacher. The schools want to see the candidate demonstrate excellent behaviour management and sound subject knowledge of the new KS1 model. You must be a committed practitioner, who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout the role. You will need to be a collaborative and driven individual who will support and lead on the delivery of the curriculum through inventive approaches including curriculum design and the use of ICT.

The role itself will involve the delivery of the KS1 National Curriculum independently and to a high standard, where the department has enjoyed excellent progress year on year. Ideal candidates will have strong KS1 curriculum knowledge and will ensure that the lessons they deliver are of excellent quality using innovative and engaging approaches, ensuring that the students are having fun whilst making stretched progress!

This is a one form entry school catering to children from ages 5-11. They are purpose built, 52 place nursery which is set in the grounds of a field. After walking around this school, standards are very high, every pupil was working hard, and the atmosphere was calm and tranquil. The school are looking for a passionate dedicated KS1 specialist to cover this maternity leave in Year 2 for the full academic year next year. Training and support will be offered by the Trafford School Cluster to ensure you are delivering best practice in accordance with their KS1 model.
