A 1-form entry Primary School in Trafford, Hale (WA15) is looking for a Year 2 class teacher to cover a year's maternity leave starting September 2019.
This is an outstanding school. Achievement is outstanding. This is a result of outstanding teaching, which enables all pupils to learn at a very rapid rate. Pupils feel very safe and well cared for.' (OFSTED March 2007)

It is a one-form entry school for children aged 5-11 years. There is a purpose built, 52 place nursery which is set in its own grounds on the edge of the field. The staff at this primary school are very welcome to all the children, parents and carers are valued and involved in the life and work of the school. It isn't possible to convey every aspect of our school and therefore, the headteacher warmly welcome visits to the school to see the children in the classrooms and meet all the staff.

The desired candidate must be able to deliver engaging cross curricula lesson and must be able to work closely with the phase leader and Head Teacher. The schools want to see the candidate demonstrate excellent behaviour management and sound subject knowledge of the new KS1 model.
You must be a committed practitioner, who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout the role. You will need to be a collaborative and driven individual who will support and lead on the delivery of the curriculum through inventive approaches including curriculum design and the use of ICT.
It is highly important that the successful candidate is trained in Singapore Maths and also has KS1 SATs experience and the general demands of a Year 2 class. The role itself will involve the delivery of the KS1 National Curriculum independently and to a high standard, where the department has enjoyed excellent progress year on year. Ideal candidates will have strong KS1 curriculum knowledge and will ensure that the lessons they deliver are of excellent quality using innovative and engaging approaches, ensuring that the students are having fun whilst making stretched progress!

* Hold QTS Status
* Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
* Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
