Tradewind Recruitment is working with a school in North West London(Barnet borough), which is recruiting for a Year 2 teacher.
Salary will be in line with the outer London MPS, presently £28355 - £40035, pro-rata, depending on experience.
This role is to cover a maternity leaver and is due to start in June, but present circumstances as they are, it may be a September start and is likely to continue until at least May half term, 2021. This could also be a chance to make your mark in a very good school and put yourself in the running for September 2021, if they have opportunities available.
The School:
This is a great school with an inspiring Headteacher and leadership body, who are very supportive of the school team and proud of the work being done at the school. The leadership team is well-established and has fantastic drive and vision. They have a friendly, hard-working team in place, with a determination to drive the children forward.
Parking is available and the school is well-positioned for staff who use public transport.
The Class
The school quite large; three-form entry and you will be working closely with the parallel year group teachers. The team are very experienced and work well together, including planning together each week ti share ideas and resources. The children are quite able and like to be presented with suitably challenging activities. There is lots of support from home, and parents/carers want their children to do well.
You! :
The school is seeking a teacher with experience of teaching in key stage 1, especially Year 2 and who has a friendly, forward-thinking approach with a positive team spirit. You should be organised, with a good sense of humour and able to deliver fun, challenging lessons when possible, to catch the children's interest.
The children respond well to tight routines and the school requites a teacher with excellent Year 1 curriculum knowledge. There is a very positive feel at the school and they are seeking a teacher with a positive, can-do outlook.
For this key stage 1, Year 2 teacher role, the school is seeking a candidate who:
Has experience teaching key stage 1 students, especially Year 2.
Is able to motivate and inspire students.
Is positive and enthusiastic, with an engaging teaching approach.
Demonstrates a variety of teaching and learning strategies.
Possesses good written and verbal communication skills.
Runs an organised, creative classroom
