Tradewind are currently looking to recruit an outstanding Year 4 Teacher for a long-term position at a Primary School in Stockport. This is a maternity cover role which will commence June 2021 and run until February 2022 with the possibility of an extension, depending on your success in the role. As the Year 4 teacher, you will be responsible for a mixed-ability class of approximately 30 children and will deliver lessons in accordance with the school's creative curriculum. A strong curriculum knowledge and an ability to challenge learners at ranging levels will be crucial to your success.

As the Year 4 teacher, we are looking for someone with the ability to:

  • Undertake full class teaching responsibilities for a Year 4 class
  • Teach well resources lessons that align with National Curriculum Standards and plan in accordance with the schools creative curriculum
  • Build a positive rapport with all children based on trust and mutual respect and build a community where children feel encouraged to take accountability for their learning
  • Assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of pupils, as well as continually monitor their personal, social and emotional wellbeing
  • Communicate effectively with the other Year 4 Teacher making full use of resources and utilising other experienced professionals to support best practice
  • Continue the well-established strong relationships with children, staff, parents, governors and the local community.
