Tradewind Recruitment is working with an outstanding primary school based in Fulwell, Richmond that are recruiting for 1-1 support year 5 teaching assistants from March 2019.

The SENCo and Head teacher of this brilliant, high achieving school in the heart of vibrant Slough is keen to appoint an experienced teaching assistant to work with a year 5 child with Autism.
The child in Year 5 who has an educational healthcare plan requires 1:1 support across Monday to Friday. The pupil in Year 5 is verbal and low functioning. The pupil will require 1:1 support in literacy and numeracy therefore it is important to have good Maths and English skills. As an SEN teaching assistant, you will also be required to support other pupils in the classroom.

The role will involve

*1-1 support for a year 5 pupil with autism
*Work alongside the KS2 team to plan and prepare engaging, fun sessions for small groups of learners that need additional support
*Firm but fair behaviour management skills

The teaching assistant roles are full time, 5 days week and will be due to start in March 2019 to continue for the full academic year.

you must;

*Have previous experience working in a primary school setting.
*Be a team player - this role requires someone who works well with teachers, pupils and parents
*Demonstrate commitment, dedication and resilience in your previous childcare work
*Have an ability to manage sometimes challenging behaviour
*Ideally you will be local to Richmond
