Tradewind are working with a high-achieving Catholic academy rated "Good with Outstanding elements" (Ofsted 2014) in Watford, seeking a Year 5 teacher to start after Easter and continue through the summer term, with a permanent contract possible for the right candidate.

The school is looking for an inspiring teacher with high expectations who will support the school's Catholic ethos and their 'uncompromising pursuit of excellence'. Responsibilities of this role will include planning and delivering lessons according to the curriculum, assessing students' progress, and maintaining regular positive contact with students' families. The school are seeking a teacher who is:
*Creative, inspiring and able to engage all kinds of students in their teaching
*Able to maintain high expectations of students and support high achievements at KS2
*Able to form strong relationships with students and prioritise their safety and happiness in school
*Able to promote the school's Catholic values, regardless of their own faith- applications are welcomed from teachers of other faiths

Our client is a popular, well-attended Catholic primary school with "Outstanding" standards of behaviour (Ofsted 2014) and above average attainment at KS2. There is a dynamic, ambitious learning environment here, grounded in the school's Catholic principles, and teachers "have excellent relationships with pupils" (Ofsted). Students are very engaged, keen to come to school and do their best- one student from their Ofsted report said that "coming to school is like coming home". The school has strong links to the local Catholic high school and enjoys support from them in specialist staffing and transition to KS3.

The essentials
Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification
* This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
