Learning Support Assistant - Liverpool - Full Time
Tradewind Recruitment is working with a SEND Secondary School in Liverpool. The schools caters to pupils aged 11-19 years old who have severe learning difficulties and/or profound and multiple learning difficulties. Many of the pupils also have a diagnosis of Autism.
Our client school is seeking a full time Learning Support Assistant to support their pupils both within the classroom and in the wider school environment.
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Take appropriate measures to ensure every child is safeguarded.
- Work in collaboration with the class teacher and other support staff.
- Contribute to recording, monitoring and assessment systems which create a picture of the pupil's developmental progress.
- Supervision of individual or groups of pupils according to the schools behaviour policy.
- Be willing to work across a range of age and ability groups within the school.
- Undertake any professional development offered to you.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Legal right to work in the UK
- A DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
- A minimum of 2 references
- A full employment history
