On behalf of my client school, I am currently looking for an experienced Reception teacher for a full-time position commencing September. This role is unique and exciting and will pay up to M6 for the ideal candidate. This Reception teacher opportunity is perfect for anyone wanting to strike a positive work life balance within a single form entry school as an additional teacher to support those working at a lower level. The Role
The school are looking to appoint an additional Reception teacher to work with the new cohort. This decision has been made to support children operating below age-related expectations. As a result, the successful teacher will be expected to support a small group of the class, some of whom have additional needs, to make fantastic progress with personal, social, emotional and physical development. You will quickly establish strong relationships with the children and will be a very rewarding role as you watch them grow and develop in your care. The vision is to have the main class together as much as possible but where necessary, you will be provided your own learning space to provide an effective learning environment for the group. Whilst there is another reception teacher, you won't need to plan everything but will be expected to make a valuable contribution and work well as a team player.
The School
The school is a one and a half from entry school that educates a diverse catchment of pupils who mainly operate at age related expectations. As with most schools, pupil numbers with SEND have increased and the school is well staffed and facilitated to support these children. The school is also part of a wider trust of 7 Tameside based schools making this a strong placement which could present further opportunities across the other schools depending on your success in the role.
To be considered for this exciting job, you must:
- Have QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Be able to demonstrate previous experience in EYFS - Reception - highly desirable
- Provide 2 most recent references which will evidence strong teaching practice
- Be subject to an enhanced DBS check / overseas police check if applicable.
