Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a delightful Primary School in Gants Hill, Redbridge, who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their vibrant team in September 2024.

The Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing 1:1 support to a pupil with specific learning needs. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with the class teacher, implementing tailored learning plans and offering the individualised support required to help the pupil thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

You will be responsible for assisting with classroom activities, ensuring that the child you support is fully engaged and making progress. This role demands patience, empathy, and a positive approach to overcoming the challenges faced by pupils with SEN.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with children in an educational setting, particularly those with SEN. You will possess excellent communication skills, ideally a strong understanding of the primary curriculum, and the ability to build positive relationships with both pupils and staff. A passion for inclusive education and the ability to adapt your approach to meet the needs of the individual pupil are essential.
