DT, RM - Surrey - Immediate start

We are looking for a Teacher of Design Technology (specialising in Resistant Materials and/or Product Design) for a remarkable school in Surrey (On the border of Croydon, S London).

Start date: ASAP

Salary: Pay will be equivalent to that of a permanent staff member (MPS/UPS for London Fringe Schools).

This is a temporary post for a minimum of two terms, full time.

  • The successful candidate should ideally have experience teaching KS3 general DT and RM up to KS4.
  • The ability to teach KS5 A Level would also be desirable (although this won't be on the fixed timetable).
  • This is a full teaching commitment, including Tutor Group, marking, exam group responsibility and the usual whole school activities.

DT is a very popular subject at this school with a very high uptake at GCSE

  • The DT department and Workshops are well equipped with state of the art, modern specialist DT facilities.
  • This highly funded and excellently resourced department has a large team of supportive teaching staff and technicians.

If all goes well, this could also lead to a permanent opportunity in January 2025.

Candidates must have:

  • QTS/ QTLS
  • DBS Check (OS police check if required)
  • Relevant experience
  • 2 good references
