Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Attendance Officer to join a team at a friendly primary school in South Sheffield. This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth management of student attendance and supporting the wider school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date attendance records for all pupils.
- Liaising with teaching staff, external agencies, and parents to ensure effective communication regarding attendance.
- Monitoring and reporting on attendance patterns and concerns to senior staff.
- Assisting with additional administrative tasks or reception duties as required.
Requirements:
- Prior experience working in a school office, specifically in an attendance role.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with staff, external agencies, and parents.
- Proficiency in school management software and Microsoft Office.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach with attention to detail.
Hours: Full-time Monday - Friday 8.30am - 4pm
