Special Needs Support Assistant - Full-Time, Huddersfield

Tradewind Recruitment are on the lookout for a SEN TA to work with a child in Key Stage 2 (KS2) at a primary school in Huddersfield. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible, offering an incredible opportunity to positively impact the life of a young learner while gaining invaluable experience before the end of term.

What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children with ADHD, Autism, or SEMH.
- Being prepared to work with challenging behaviour and adapt quickly to changing situations.
- Having a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.
- The ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide tailored support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to a child with special educational needs, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to support positive behaviour and minimise disruptions in the classroom.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs) and behaviour intervention plans.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.
