Pastoral Support Officer
Location: Tower Hamlets, London
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

A reputable secondary school in Tower Hamlets, is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Support Officer to join our caring and student-focused team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional, social, and behavioural support to students, helping them to engage positively with school life.
- Work closely with the pastoral team, teachers, and senior leaders to support the wellbeing and personal development of students.
- Act as a key point of contact for students who may be facing personal, academic, or social challenges, offering guidance and support.
- Monitor attendance, behaviour, and academic progress, identifying and addressing barriers to learning.
- Support students through one-to-one mentoring, group work, and restorative practices.
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure that students receive the appropriate support.
- Contribute to the creation of a safe, inclusive, and nurturing school environment where every student feels valued.

About You:
- Experience working with young people in an educational, pastoral, or youth work setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A compassionate and non-judgmental approach, with a genuine passion for supporting young people.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging situations effectively.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting student welfare.
