Food Technician Chesterfield

We are seeking a dedicated Food Technician to join our dynamic team at a thriving secondary school in Chesterfield. This is a full-time position, with an immediate start and the possibility of transitioning to a permanent contract for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Food Technology department in preparing materials and equipment for practical lessons
• Assist students during practical sessions, ensuring a safe and organised learning environment
• Maintain the cleanliness and order of the food technology room, including equipment and ingredient stock control
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to enhance students' learning experience

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have a passion for food and a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• Be organised, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Have excellent communication skills to support both staff and students
• Previous experience in a similar role or in a kitchen environment is desirable but not essential
