SEMH/SEN Teaching Assistant
Hounslow
SANZA Teaching Agency are working with a leading Primary SEND/SEMH Provision in West London. They are seeking a full-time teaching assistant to join the team!
This role would also suit a mainstream primary teaching assistant, who has a keen interest in transitioning over to working within (SEMH) Social, Emotional, Mental Health.
About the School:
- A specialist provision for students with an Educational health Care Plan where the primary needs are SEMH difficulties

- Children are encouraged to take part in a wide range of sporting events and clubs, and other extra-curricular activities that build social and personal skills
- Usually, they look for someone who is familiar with the national curriculum, academic, creative, and nurturing towards the children.
About the Role:
- To work to support the learning of children in the class, including individual, small and large groups as directed
- To monitor, assess and support children that have social, emotional and/or mental health difficulties, and possibly other special educational needs
- Delivering the national curriculum
- Creative and dynamic environment
- To work under the direction of the Headteacher and the Lead to plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals, groups and the whole setting.
About you:
- Ideally have experience supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH)
- They are seeking a strong, confident and compassionate candidates who are passionate about working with vulnerable youth
- You will be taken on as a teaching assistant- supporting pupils in the classroom, carefully guiding and helping them to make good progress in key areas.
- Being flexible and willing to take on all challenges
