Behaviour/Learning Mentor
£100- £115 per day

Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable young people in a primary setting? Are you interested in playing a crucial part in the outcomes of children who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH)?
The position of primary behaviour mentor is perfect for someone with a good sense of humour, great relationship building skills and who values being a positive role model for vulnerable young people!
You will work closely with teachers in a welcoming, loving primary school to support students and create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
About the School:
- A specialist provision for students with an Educational health Care Plan where the primary needs are SEMH difficulties
- A small school which aims to provide a family atmosphere where pupils and families feel supported
- Taking a holistic approach to the child's learning journey
- Children are encouraged to take part in a wide range of sporting events and clubs, and other extra-curricular activities that build social and personal skills
- Usually, they look for someone who is familiar with the national curriculum, academic, creative, and nurturing towards the children.
About the Role:
- To work to support the learning of children in the class, including individual, small and large groups as directed
- To monitor, assess and support children that have social, emotional and/or mental health difficulties, and possibly other special educational needs
- Delivering the national curriculum
- Creative and dynamic environment
- To work under the direction of the Headteacher and the Lead to plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals, groups and the whole setting.
