Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? We are working closely with a welcoming primary school in East Manchester that is looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their on-site SEND unit.
Role Overview: The successful candidate will be working within the school's specialist SEND unit, providing essential support to the children who need it most. This role is ideal for someone with experience in a SEND provision or SEND school, who is committed to helping every child achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting students with a range of needs, including learning difficulties, autism, and social, emotional, and mental health issues.
- Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and assisting with classroom activities.
- Working closely with the SENDCo and other staff to provide a nurturing and inclusive environment.
- Using specialist techniques and strategies to support learning and development.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working in a SEND provision or SEND school is essential.
- A caring and empathetic approach to supporting children with complex needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
