Head of Food Technology - Waltham Forest (January 2025 Start)

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a talented and passionate Head of Food Technology for our client, a highly reputable all-girls secondary school based in Waltham Forest. This is a fantastic full-time opportunity starting in January 2025.

Job Role Requirements:

• Deliver engaging and innovative Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Lead and manage the Food Technology department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
• Develop and implement a dynamic curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
• Monitor student progress and provide tailored support to enable them to achieve their full potential.
• Maintain an inclusive and inspiring classroom environment that fosters a love for food technology.
• Collaborate with other department heads to support cross-curricular learning opportunities.

Qualifications and Person Specification:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialization in Food Technology.
• Proven experience in teaching Food Technology at secondary level, preferably with leadership experience.
• Strong subject knowledge and an enthusiasm for inspiring students in food technology.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team of teachers within the department.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• A commitment to continuous professional development and the desire to make a positive impact in a dynamic school environment.
