We are a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Newham, seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Technician to join our dynamic Science Department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for supporting the practical delivery of science lessons, ensuring students have the resources they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and setting up laboratory equipment and materials for science lessons (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics)
• Assisting teachers with practical demonstrations and experiments
• Ensuring the safe storage and handling of chemicals and equipment in compliance with health and safety regulations
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of laboratories and preparation areas
• Supporting students during practical activities when required
• Managing stock levels and ordering supplies

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Science Technician or in a laboratory setting (school experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of health and safety protocols in a lab environment
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A passion for science and a commitment to supporting student learning
