The school require a Key Stage 3 and 4 specialist, who is passionate, engaging and committed to making a positive impact to the school in the new year.

Located near a district line station, this school boasts excellent accessibility for teachers both in Central London and Essex. When in the school, you will be teaching in a well-resourced, experienced department with brining Science to life at the forefront of the curriculum and ethos of everything they do. This school is proud of the development of their students both academically and within their behaviour, with recent OFSTED inspections improving after the introduction of a dedicated headteacher and SLT team.

Ahead of 2024/25, the Science department are looking to build on a successful academic calendar. School trips, improvements to the facilities and an exciting new curriculum has led to students increased engagement within the subject. For this year, the department are looking for a teacher capable of teaching all Sciences to KS4 level.

Position: Teacher of Science

Duration: January

Contract: Permanent

Location: Havering , London

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach engaging Science lessons to Key Stage 4
  • Edexcel curriculum knowledge.
  • Assume the role of a form tutor, fostering a sense of community and support
  • Instill a love of learning through creative and interactive teaching methods
  • Create a safe and stimulating environment for students to thrive
  • Teaching all three Sciences
  • Developing an exciting curriculum
  • Full-time, 5 days per week availability

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification
  • Enhanced DBS clearance
  • 10-year employment check
  • ECT applications are welcomed
  • Available to start in January.
