Job Advert: 1:1 Teaching Assistant - Year 3

Location: London Borough of Haringey
Daily Rate: £90-£95 p/day (with a pay rise after 12 weeks)
Start Date: January 2025 (or sooner)

Sanza Teaching Agency is delighted to be partnering with a vibrant and supportive primary school in the heart of Haringey to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant. This rewarding role involves providing one-to-one support for a pupil in Year 3 with Autism.

Key Details:

  • Role Type: Full-time, long-term contract
  • Days: Monday to Friday
  • Start Date: January 2025 (earlier start date possible for the right candidate)
  • Pay: Competitive daily rate with an increase after 12 weeks

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to a Year 3 pupil with Autism, focusing on their learning, emotional well-being, and social development.
  • Collaborate closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver effective strategies and interventions.
  • Foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Monitor and document the pupil's progress, sharing insights with staff and parents.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children with special educational needs, particularly Autism, is essential.
  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant in a classroom setting is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to supporting children.
