Tradewind are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Support Officer to join a thriving secondary school in Rotherham. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in fostering a positive and inclusive environment where students feel supported and valued.

About the Role:

  • Provide targeted pastoral support to students, addressing emotional, social, and behavioural needs.
  • Act as a key point of contact for students, parents, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for student well-being.
  • Monitor attendance and engagement, implementing interventions to address barriers to learning.
  • Assist in developing and implementing school policies and strategies to promote positive behaviour and student welfare.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and senior leaders to support student success and inclusion.

About You:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with young people in an educational, social work, or youth work setting.
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Is empathetic, approachable, and committed to student well-being.
  • Has strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Is resilient and able to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
