Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant

Location: Haringey
Salary: £90-£100 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only
Start Date: January

An inclusive and welcoming secondary school in Haringey is looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in January. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students, helping them succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.


Your Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide tailored support to students with diverse SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
  • Assist teachers in creating and adapting lesson materials to suit individual learning styles.
  • Work one-on-one and with small groups to engage students with the curriculum.
  • Promote positive behaviour and social interaction among students.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and track student progress, sharing updates with teachers and parents.
